Dr. Darren B. Schneider is the Chief of Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy at Penn Medicine and the Clyde F. Barker - William Maul Measey Professor in Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He received his medical degree from University of California San Diego School of Medicine. He trained in general surgery and completed fellowships in both interventional radiology and vascular surgery at the University of California, San Francisco. He is board-certified in Vascular Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a Distinguished Fellow of the Society for Vascular Surgery. He is an expert in advanced open surgical and endovascular treatment of vascular disease including aortic aneurysms, thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms, carotid disease, and peripheral artery disease. Dr. Schneider has served as the principal investigator for clinical trials for the treatment of thoracic aortic aneurysms and dissections, complex abdominal aortic aneurysms, carotid artery disease, and lower extremity PAD. He is the investigator-sponsor of an IDE clinical trial of endovascular repair of thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms and aortic arch aneurysms. His expertise includes the use of aortic stent grafts, fenestrated and branched aortic stent grafts, carotid stents, and other new technologies for the endovascular treatment of patients with vascular disorders.
